You Don't Have

to Figure This Out

Alone

Maybe your periods suddenly changed.

Maybe you're waking up drenched at night.

Maybe you can't sleep the way you used to.

Maybe your mood, concentration, libido, weight, or energy suddenly feel different.

Or maybe you simply don't feel like yourself — and you're wondering whether perimenopause could be part of the picture.

That's exactly what your consultation is designed to explore.

Menopause care may address:

Hot flashes & night sweats

Sleep changes

Brain fog & difficulty concentrating

Mood changes

Irregular or changing periods

Vaginal dryness & intimate concerns

Low libido

Weight & body composition changes

Hair & skin changes

Bone and long-term health considerations

Treatment Isn't

One-Size-Fits-All

There isn't one "menopause treatment" that's right for everyone.

Your options depend on your symptoms, health history, preferences, risks, and goals.

Your personalized plan may include discussion of:

Hormone therapy may be considered when clinically appropriate after reviewing your symptoms, history, benefits, risks, and preferences.

Hormone Therapy

Non-Hormonal Treatment Options

Hormones aren't the only option. Non-hormonal approaches and prescription treatments may also be considered when appropriate.

Vaginal & Intimate Concerns

Dryness, discomfort, urinary changes, painful intimacy, and other genitourinary symptoms can be part of the menopause transition and deserve to be discussed.

Changes in sleep, concentration, mood, and energy are common reasons women seek menopause care. We'll look at the whole picture rather than treating every concern in isolation.

Sleep, Mood & Brain Fog

Metabolic & Preventive Health

Midlife is also an important time to pay attention to blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, weight, bone health, preventive screenings, and your overall long-term health.

Your visits are real conversations.

There is time to ask questions, discuss concerns, understand your options, and participate in decisions about your care.

The goal isn't to rush you through a checklist.

It's to understand what's changing, what matters to you, and what an appropriate path forward looks like.

What Happens After Your Initial Consultation?

Some patients only need a focused consultation and plan.

Others want continued support as symptoms, medications, and needs change.

For patients who want ongoing menopause care, continued care is available through The Root Care Family Health NP menopause membership for $149/month after completion of the initial consultation.

Ongoing care provides a place to follow progress, discuss concerns, review treatment, and make appropriate changes over time.

Common Questions

Do I have to be fully menopausal to schedule?

No. Care is available for adults experiencing perimenopause as well as menopause.

Do I need hormone testing before my appointment?

No. Perimenopause is not diagnosed based on a single hormone test. Your symptoms, menstrual history, medical history, medications, and other factors are considered together. Testing may be ordered when clinically appropriate.

Does scheduling mean I will automatically receive hormone therapy?

No. Hormone therapy is one possible treatment option. Your individual benefits, risks, symptoms, history, and preferences must be reviewed before determining whether hormone therapy is appropriate.

What if I don't want hormones?

That's okay. Hormonal and non-hormonal options can be discussed depending on your needs.

Can I use my insurance?

The Root Care Family Health NP is a cash-pay practice. Your insurance may still be used for covered prescriptions, laboratory testing, and imaging.

Superbills are available for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Will I actually meet with a clinician?

Yes. Your initial consultation includes two virtual visits with Tara, a New York-licensed, ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
